Responsibilities:Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and proceduresGrind, polish, sand and sharpen welded parts to ensure conformance to established customer needs and printsMaintain work area and production equipment in clean and orderly condition. Follow all safety work rulesHandle assorted raw materials, steel parts, and steel scrapPerforms precision smoothing, sharpening, polishing, or grinding on a variety of welded assembliesResponsible for the movement of necessary inventory and parts to and from the pipe departmentAssist Welders; Participate in and support continuous process improvementsOther duties may be assigned that pertain to the classificationSkills:Proven experience with hand tools and equipmentExperience using a variety of welding equipment and proceduresExperience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)Knowledge of relative safety standardsEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:2 years of previous equipment experience, GrindingUnderstanding of fabrication fundamentals, and application to structural pieces
