SUMMARY/SCOPE:
Hardin-Simmons servesstudents through quality educational programs within the classroom as well asoutside the classroom through an active studentdevelopment program. The Office of Residence Life isresponsible for providing a positive customer service experience to all livingin Hardin-Simmons University Housing. Thisposition is fluid in nature and will require students to operate on afluctuating schedules and duties from day to day.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Summer RAs will be asked to manage residential responsibilitiesthat may include but are not limited to lockouts, weekend on-call duty, roominspections, helping relocate student belongings, assisting with furnitureremoval, housing check-ins and move-outs, as well as any duty neededcommunicated by the Residence Directors or Director of Residence Life.
Eachhired RA will be assigned a consistent day of the week for assigned dutiesalong with other predetermined dates to aid in transition between terms.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
No previous experiencerequired. Residence life experience preferred. Must be enrolled for Fall 2023 semester and maintain a 2.5 GPA.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Student will be required towalk up and down stairs and may be asked to be able to life up to 50lbs.
Studentalso may be asked to help with lockouts and or other student needs outsidenormal operating hours.
