BUDGET AND RISK MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, Budget and Risk Management

Join Tarrant County as a Budget and Risk Management Assistant Director. This role involves assisting in budget planning, preparing reports, supervising staff, and acting as Director in their absence.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting in preparing annual operating and capital improvement budgets.
  2. Preparing briefings and analytical reports on budget issues.
  3. Supervising Budget and Risk Management staff.
  4. Acting as Director when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of full-time experience with a multi-million dollar government entity or public administration.
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with officials, employees, and the public.
  • Knowledge of government accounting, financial statement analysis, and budgeting principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of Texas County government statutes.

Additional Information:

Must provide proof of education and pass background checks. Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, and other movement. The position is classified as Director, full-time, in the Government Administration industry.
