Taylor County is currently seeking qualified applicants for Corrections Officers at the Taylor County Jail.

This is a pooling listing. All positions are currently filled; however, applications are continually received in order to backfill any positions as they become available.

All qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Applicants must have the ability to work in a very stressful environment and have a good moral character.

Applicants must be in good physical shape and must pass a physical exam and drug screening prior to employment.

Qualified applicants will also be subject to an extensive criminal history and background investigation.

Must be a U.S. citizen and have a valid Driver License.

Starting Salary Effective 10/1/2025: $56,030.72 per year + benefits Benefits include : 100% county-paid employee medical and dental insurance, paid life and disability insurance, retirement, and paid vacation/sick time.
